Graphing Calculator Requirement

Graphing Calculator Requirement
For all regular education students, a graphing calculator (TI 84plus or TI-Nspire).
Costco carries the 84+ for $99.99 in the fall and you can find the TI-Nspire or the 84+ online at the Bach Company for a great price. The 83+ is a suitable calculator, but it is like buying a 9 year old computer. It just doesn't have the memory that the newer calculators have. Please do not buy the TI-89, it will not work with our Navigator wireless system. The TI-Nspire does all that the 89 does and more. It is definitely the calculator of choice. I would also avoid the CAS version of the TI-Nspire, it doesn't work on our system. For the student that cannot afford to purchase there own calculator, we have a few loaner calculators. The student is then responsible for the calculator until the end of the year and responsible for replacement if it is lost or damaged. Mariposa County High School also uses these calculators. Students will also need them as they progress on through High School, to take and be competitive, on the SAT test for college acceptance.

See the math section of the school web page for great links related to the graphing calculator.

The new HW site for Mr. Keeton has arrived.

In the interest of making things more simple I will now be posting all the HW on line at my Google calendar, which will be viewable here at my blog.

Remember, HW counts for 40% of your grade. It is a significant portion of your grade and an important part towards your success in Algebra. Work hard and it will pay off.
